Year 7 Learner Esmé donates hair to Little Princess Trust

We are so incredibly proud of Esmé!

Today, we are celebrating one of our amazing Year 7 learners, Esmé, whose kindness, courage and selflessness have inspired our entire school community.
After dreaming about it for more than three years, Esmé has now donated 11–12 inches of her beautiful hair to the Little Princess Trust. Having seen members of her own family face cancer, she wanted to do something that would bring hope to another child during one of the most difficult times in their life.

For anyone who knows Esmé, they'll know just how much she loved her long hair. Choosing to donate it is an extraordinary act of generosity and perfectly reflects our school DNA of Ambition, Determination and Respect.

The Little Princess Trust creates free, real-hair wigs for children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other medical conditions, helping to restore confidence and identity. The charity also funds vital childhood cancer research, supporting kinder and more effective treatments for young people.
Alongside donating her hair, Esmé is raising £700 to cover the cost of making her donated hair into a wig, ensuring one child can benefit directly from her incredible gift.
Esmé, we couldn't be prouder of you. Your compassion and determination remind us that acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. You are a wonderful ambassador for Team South Wigston, and your actions have inspired us all.
If you would like to support Esmé's fundraising, please consider making a donation via the JustGiving page.
Well done, Esmé, you have already changed someone's life for the better.
